Welcome to Raintown Basic Manners Classes!

We are thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of your pup's development, and it's our privilege to welcome you to our next 5-week Basic Manners course!

How it Works

In Basic Manners Class, we focus on pushing your dog's foundational skills to the next level.
Our lessons include calm greetings, recall, ''go to mat'', and more (see schedule at bottom of email).

Seeing 6 pups successfully mat targeting is the highlight of our week.

Behaviour Protocol

We do our best to design our classes so that they contain dogs with matching temperaments and teachable spirits. However, sometimes new or previously unnoticeable problem behaviour begins to show in our group settings.

If your dog shows signs of over-arousal (excessive barking, rough play etc.) or reactivity in classes, we will ask you to drop out of this round. If we initiate the drop-out, we often put some class credit towards a private session with us to work on your pup's areas of struggle.

*Please note, we do not offer refunds within 48-hours of a class series’ start date, as per our terms and conditions.

What to Bring
Along with your pupster, please bring:

a) a chew toy (a rubber kong, bone, stuffed toy etc.)

b) a mat for your pup to settle on during class.

c) small bite sized treats that your dog LOVES (and we mean LOOOOOVES! )

d) a collar and/or harness (no prong, choke, or slip collars)

e) a standard leash (5 or 6 foot, no retractable leashes)

Please note: Leave plenty of time to find parking before class as Olympic Village can get busy!

If you Miss a Class

We encourage our clients to attend each of their their pre-booked classes with us as part of our 5 week course. Unfortunately, in the instance of missed a class, we unable to refund or reschedule. In the case of a dog coming into heat, please contact me to discuss further.

Class Schedule

Class 1 = Orientation (no pups allowed - humans only! Attendance required for course)

Class 2 = Go to Mat (Place Targeting)

Class 3 = Recall

Class 4 = Calm (Street) Greetings

Class 5 = Engage-Disengage, Talent Show
